Gary, I got my TC40D with 17LA FEL/72" HD bucket, 758C hoe/18" bucket and R-4's just about exactly one year ago. (Upgraded from a 27HP NH 1620 with FEL and hoe.) I got mine through their "A-plan". Price for mine was 27,250 :),plus PA's 6% sales tax :( ,since I'm not a farmer. Mine has Supersteer, which adds about $1,000, but is worth every penny if you have to do any tight maneuvering at all, or if you do any loader work. Plus, it's downright fun to watch your friends' faces when they see how tight the tractor can turn. If you use the brakes to steer, it will actually pivot on one of the rear tires.
I'm not sure what the cost for the blade is, but the $350 is a good price for the remotes. If you play with the numbers, you can get a good comparison by allowing for the differences in equipment. Typically, the A-plan price is in the lower end of the price scale, but I have seen other quotes on this board near that range (non A-plan deals).
Just FYI, the difference between the 16LA and 17LA is that the 17LA has been engineered to be about 10" longer to allow for the Supersteer. Because of it, the front axle sits a bit further to the front to allow for clearance, as it actually turns about 15 degrees when the wheels are turned. Also, it is heavily built and works very nicely. I have about 140 hours on this tractor so far, with lots of loader and backhoe time in there. It has been a good solid machine so far. I don't abuse it by any stretch of the imagination, but I do work it hard.
If I can answer any other questions for you, I'd be happy to take a shot at them. Bob ....

A-plan is/was a discount program for employees of / retirees from Ford New Holland. I believe that it now applies only to retirees, since Case has purchased New Holland. My father retired from Ford New Holland before it changed hands, and is elibigle to buy through this program. Dealers should be able to get fairly close to those numbers if they're so inclined. Sounds like you're doing pretty well with yours. Good Luck. The 40D is a GREAT machine. ....

case did not buy New Holland it was a merger. Both companies belong to Fiat and are slowly being combined. I know this for fact because we sell both lines of Machinery. The only reason they named the new Parent company CNH or case new holland is because NHC was all ready in use by New Holland Credit Co. I Just came back from a Dealer meeting this week and a Dealer made this same statement in a meeting about case buying new holland and he was quickly corrected by the company official heading up the meeting. ....

treeman,
That sounds a bit high. Tractor and loader [that's a 17LA :-), by the way] ought to be in 22K range, plus or minus a bit. That would put the mower at 3K or so !? I didn't buy a mower when I bought mine, so I can only give you an idea on the other 2 components. Work with your dealer a bit and see what happens. I have the 40D with SS, the 17LA and the hoe. It is a very solid machine, and I have been very pleased with it so far at approx. 150 hours. The loader is very impressive when coupled with this tractor. I have an F350-based dump truck, and it reaches well over the top of the bed, and nearly dumps over the far side. It will make short work of a tri-axle load of stone that needs spread, and scapes/digs very well, too. If you end up with one of these, I strongly recommend getting the teeth for the bucket. Lots of luck. Bob ....
